Michael Duggan was educated on both coasts in two disciplines – basic and health sciences, and has been a lifelong teacher in both areas. For 45 years he has explored graphic expression through photographic imaging as a way to enrich his life by paying ultimate attention to the surrounding world. In the late 60s he studied graphic art and printmaking for a year with Edward Koren at Brown University, and has spent time with some of the great photographers of the 20th century. Showings of his work span the decades from New York City in 1975 to a recent one-man show at Thiele College in PA and gallery showings in Laguna Beach CA.
Duggan has traveled widely and has taken his 4×5 view camera to such diverse locations as Fiji, Santorini, Nova Scotia, Mexico and Northern Europe. Wherever he goes his natural passion is to interpret fascinations of the local environment for those that don’t spend the time looking at what is nearby.
